Spotify brings Ad Exchange and Generative AI ads to India after the U.S., Canada
Spotify announced the launch of its Spotify Ads Exchange (SAX) offering in India, along with Generative AI-powered advertisements in the country after a “successful” pilot in the U.S. and Canada.
SAX will help advertisers track their performance better and maximise their reach without risking brand fatigue for users, per the company.
Spotify said that in India, it has been integrated with Google DV360, The Trade Desk, and Magnite to connect into SAX across multimedia ad formats. Podcast ads are coming soon, meanwhile.
“Spotify Ad Exchange (SAX) is a new programmatic offering that will give advertisers in India easier access to Spotify’s high-quality inventory and more opportunities to reach our highly engaged audience at scale. We aim to make it easier for our client and agency partners to include Spotify as a part of their programmatic always on audience strategies,” said Arjun Kolady, Head of Sales - India, at Spotify, adding that over 5,000 advertisers had tested SAX globally.
Spotify’s Gen AI ads will allow advertisers in India to create audio ads at no additional cost within the Ads Manager platform. Advertisers can use scripts, voiceovers, and even licensed background music for the same. Gen AI features mean brands can create more Spotify ads in far shorter intervals, and with less effort.
“As advertising partners of different campaign sizes from across industries choose Spotify as a medium to engage with their audiences, we want to make it easier for them to create high-quality, scalable audio ads. With Gen AI Ads, we hope to expedite the process for brands to reach their consumers, making them more topical and relevant, while reaching a wide base”, said Kolady.
