Mahakumbh AI Sahayata chatbot launched to assist pilgrims

An AI chatbot called ‘Mahakumbh AI Sahayata’ was launched by ONDC and CoRover to offer assistance to pilgrims who attended the large-scale Mahakumbh religious festival this year in Uttar Pradesh.

Mahakumbh AI Sahayata runs on CoRover’s BharatGPT, which the company said was capable of handling over 100 languages and processing up to 100,000 queries or calls concurrently. Meanwhile, the AI chatbot understands and responds to users in over 14 languages.

It can help out users with directions, festival schedules, accommodation details, or emergency assistance, per CoRover.

Upon adding the Mahakumbh AI chatbot to WhatsApp as a contact, the user can select options such as uploading documents, getting information from said documents, translating what they want to say, and converting text to voice or voice to text.

The Mahakumbh AI chatbot said it did not have any information about the fatal stampede that had taken place, but it offered assistance to a user who might need to quickly exit the festival and find a safe place.

In order to access the Mahakumbh AI chatbot, users can add the chatbot as a contact through their phone or WhatsApp, using the number +91 7968 363636. They can also speak with it through their phone.
