Samsung launches Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra

Samsung on Wednesday (January 22, 2025) launched the Galaxy S25 series having Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones. With its first and major global launch of 2025, the South Korean company pushes aggressively towards gen AI features.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series will also bring the AI-integrated One UI 7 operating skin based upon Android 15. It would be able to generate image from text prompts.

The Galaxy S25 series will have gen AI features like circle to search, call transcript, writing assist, and drawing assist as well.

The Galaxy S25 series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, and the first set of phones from Samsung to use the newest mobile processor from Qualcomm. With this, the Galaxy S25 series have to compete with the newly launched OnePlus 13, iQOO 13 and Realme GT 7 Pro with the same chipset.

“Galaxy S25 also introduces post-quantum cryptography, safeguarding personal data against emerging threats that could increase as quantum computing evolves,” Samsung said.

Samsung has also upgraded the ultrawide camera on the Galaxy S25 series to a new 50 MP sensor, up from the previous 12 MP in the previous generation. The Galaxy S25 series will have Audio eraser to remove unwanted noise in videos.

Galaxy S25 Ultra features durable titanium and the new Corning Gorilla Armor 2.
